Former Dallas assistant city manager Harry L. Jones, Sr. died Wednesday. He was 67.
Jones served as ACM in Dallas from 1988-1992 before leaving to serve Fayetteville, the city of Charlotte, and Mecklenburg County. He was a past president of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators and a fellow to the National Academy of Public Administration.
As one of many "firsts," Jones leaves a pioneering legacy of public service. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and many friends.
